Local Government MATTERS!

Local Government can produce direct and visible changes for young people and their community.
GET INVOLVED TODAY!

Local government needs more YOUTH PARTICIPATION

Young people have unique perspectives and priorities, and yet these voices are underrepresented in Local Government.

61% of all elected members are 55+ years old, despite this age range making up only 38% of the eligible voting population.

Young people aged 18-24 make up just over 5% of voters in local government elections
despite making up over 10% of the eligible voting population
